How to Organize & Declutter: Tips & Tricks
When you know you're moving out, or wanting to change the way you've organized things at home, it really is a satisfying transition. I tend to do this for every season and get rid of things I no longer need. This can be a long process but you have to take it each day at a time. Here are my top tips to get you organized:

1. Create a list:
In order to make your life easier, its a good idea to list down all the categories you need to pack or organize. It will help you prioritize what is important and what is also quick and easy to get packed.
2. Manage your time:
Keeping a schedule and sticking to it will help you minimize your workload. I recommend you allocate a day specific to a category. For example, you set aside a Saturday to pack away all the clothes that you won't be needing such as seasonal clothes, duplicates, and just extra items that you can live. Ideally, aim to get it done in one day but keep open a separate day just in case you didn't expect to have too much to organize.
3. Have I used it in the last 6 months?
I know most people say, 'if you haven't used it in the last year then get rid of it' but for me, I find that most items should be used in the last 6 months, and if it hasn't then let it go. A whole year seems too long to keep ahold of something that you haven't used. Give it up after it's no longer been used for 6 months. Trust me, it deserves a better home.
4. Less is more?
If you have doubles of different items, then the question you need to ask yourself is if they have a purpose? Is it necessary you have two of the same things? Especially if you know that you favour one over the other.
You'll find that a lot of the items you have to part ways with, are often only used once or twice so feel free to donate to a shelter, a charity or an organisation that can find a better and more deserving home for it.
